CONFIGURE YOUR GIROCAM

4.1 Why do I need to configure my GIROCAM

The girocam comes with 4 different modes listed bellow :

HDR
This mode takes 3 exposures during a single shoot (0, +2, -2)
Photo
This mode takes a single exposure
Custom 1
This mode can be configured to take several exposures during a single shoot.
This can be configured directly from your GIROCAM account
Custom 2
This mode can be configured to take several exposures during a single shoot.
This can be configured directly from your GIROCAM account

Those 4 modes can be configured separatly using the GIROCAM CONFIGURATOR interface on your platform.

4.2 What can be configured on your GIROCAM

4.2.a Self Timer

A self timer on a camera gives a delay between pressing the shutter release and the shutter's firing. The timer's delay gives the photographer time to steady the camera before the shutter fires and to move away from the field of view of the camera. The default delay is 10 seconds. This setting can be changed from 0 sec to 60 sec for each mode of the GIROCAM.

4.2.b Number of exposure

The HDR technique consist of merging several shots of a classic scene to obtain the more information possible on the light and dark areas of the photo. The GIROCAM has a default HDR mode. In fact, while you click only once on the shutter, your GIROCAM camera will take 3 pictures on 3 different levels of exposure to obtain a single final image of optimal quality. This way you can produce virtual tours of very high quality even in particularly dark rooms and substantially mitigate the overexposure window effects.

4.3 How to customize Your Girocam

Connect to your GIROCAM platform, click on “GIROCAM CONFIGURATOR” and follow the instructions.
